A Valentine’s tribute

Warning to all readers: Schmaltz ahead. Feel free to ignore.

What would Valentine’s Day be without a tribute to my favorite person in the whole world?

My husband is amazing. Seriously. Right now, he is working fulltime while attending graduate school, and getting great grades to boot. He is a super hard worker, and does all of this while still managing to help around the house, feed the dogs, and be an attentive husband. In short, he is a saint.

He is the calm to my storm, the tall to my short, the skinny to my …  not so skinny, the love of my life and the bacon to my eggs.

Happy Valentine’s Day, dear readers.

I have one of those really special husbands, too. It’s very comforting to spend most of your life with your best friend.
We’re complete opposites, so we’re never bored.

Maybe I’ll make him some of those chocolate cookies tomorrow. (The problem is, he’ll eat one or two and have the willpower to walk away. Guess who’ll be sitting here at 11 PM with a plate of cookies and a glass of milk!)

The bacon and egg took me a minute! LOL!

Oh man, my husband has the same willpower. I should never make baked goods because he eats only 1/5 of them (but, in my head, I tell myself it’s OK because he ate 1/2. Haha).

Hope you two have a happy Valentine’s day!

About me

My name is Mallory Murray and I have a love of all things oldfashioned. I'm a modern day feminist who also adores Martha Stewart. Read on for my sewing, crochet, cooking, gardening, quilting and crafting projects. I am the chief officer of marketing and design at Northwest Missouri State University, so expect the occasional random post about marketing/universities/design. I dream of a hobby farm with baby doll sheep, a sheep dog, a small flock of chickens, and other animals to be announced. I'm also a Pitt State grad, football lover, HGTV addict and obsessed with the color aqua.
